Erbil, also known as Howler, is a beautiful and secure city
that possesses many natural resources. It is a historically and culturally
significant center. Erbil, the capitol of Kurdistan, lies 350 km north
of Baghdad, streched along a fertile plane between the big Zab and small
Zab Rivers. This important, ancient city is mentioned in a 2000 B.C. text
Samarian under the name ORBLOOM or EUROBLOOM. Erbil also appears in Bablyon
and Ashor texts under the name ERBA-ELO.
The Kurdish name Erbil, is derived from old phrase meaning buildings,
castles, and minarets; many of these structures survive to this day. The
normal weather for this region is hot in summer and cool in winter. Weather
